Six Arrested in Multi-County Drug Bust in Jefferson and Berkeley Counties

Seven-month investigation leads to seizure of cocaine, cash, a handgun, and a vehicle.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, WV (JK) — A seven-month drug investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office resulted in multiple arrests and seizures in Jefferson and Berkeley Counties this week.

Deputies executed four search warrants early Wednesday morning at properties linked to an ongoing narcotics operation. The investigation began after complaints of suspected drug activity at a residence on Tally Ho Drive in Kearneysville. Surveillance over two months documented dozens of brief visits, leading to several arrests tied to crack cocaine sales near an elementary school.

The investigation expanded into Berkeley County, where authorities conducted 20 controlled purchases and removed more than 28 grams of crack and powder cocaine from the community. In total, deputies seized roughly 3.5 ounces of drugs, $4,000 in cash, a handgun, and a 2007 Dodge Nitro.

Six men are facing charges including drug distribution, conspiracy, and possession. Authorities say the operation highlights ongoing efforts to address illegal narcotics activity in the region.
