Frederick, MD (JK) – A Frederick man is facing multiple charges following a firearms investigation by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies executed a search warrant on March 26 at a home in the 8200 block of Waterside Court. During the search, investigators recovered two handguns, ammunition, and additional evidence related to the case.
As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Jaymar Vaqwan Cleotis Bellamy, of Frederick, was arrested. Authorities say Bellamy is prohibited from possessing firearms. He was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
Bellamy is charged with two counts of illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a regulated firearm following a conviction for a crime of violence, and illegal possession of ammunition.
Officials also say Bellamy was wanted on two active arrest warrants issued by the Baltimore County Police Department for violation of probation.
