EXCLUSIVE: From “Religion and Nasty Women” to “Decolonizing French Food,” students at some of America’s most prestigious universities can take courses on Bad Bunny, Marxism, gender and even why dancing matters if the world is ending.
Collegiate conservative organization Young America’s Foundation (YAF) shared the eye-catching offerings in its 2026-27 “Comedy & Tragedy Report,” obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital.
At Columbia University, “Religion and Nasty Women” takes its name in part from President Donald Trump’s “nasty woman” remark about Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The course description says the phrase has since become a “badge of honor and a rallying cry for women’s empowerment.” Students examine goddesses, prostitutes and virgins across several religious traditions in what the description calls a survey of “religious-based misogyny” and women’s responses to it.
Columbia also offers “Marxism and Cultural Theory,” though the course description makes clear students shouldn’t expect a deep dive into Marx himself.

“This course will not offer an intensive study of the writings of Karl Marx,” the description states. Instead, the class examines Marxism as a theory of culture, including its relationship to global capitalism, financial crises and other “discourses of social justice.”
Bad Bunny, aka Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, may need to add college course namesake to his list of accomplishments, with the Puerto Rican musician suddenly inspiring multiple classes at elite universities.

At Princeton, “Thinking with Bad Bunny: the Cultural Politics of Race, Language, and Empire” examines his music, lyrics, activism, “gender non-conforming performances” and business strategies.
The course also explores how Bad Bunny navigates his status as a global Latino icon, while coming from what its description calls “Puerto Rico‘s colonial context.”

Yale gets in on the Bad Bunny action, too, with “Bad Bunny: Musical Aesthetics and Politics,” a course examining his music alongside Puerto Rico’s history, politics and “colonial past and present.”
At the University of Pennsylvania, “Decolonizing French Food” starts with wine, cheese and baguettes before examining how French culinary traditions have been shaped by colonialism.
Stanford University’s “Gender in the Wild” course reportedly examines how gender shapes ideas about wilderness, freedom, heroism and risk, drawing on feminist texts, “Indigenous knowledge” and “Black environmental thought.”

Swarthmore College offers “Queering God: Feminist and Queer Theology,” a religion course examining feminist and queer interpretations of God.
“The God of the Bible and later Jewish and Christian literature is distinctively masculine, definitely male. Or is He?” the course description asks.
The class explores whether characteristics including nurturing, forgiveness and love can be understood as feminine or female, and seeks to “stretch the limits of gendering-and sexing-the divine.”
Swarthmore also offers “The Fat Renaissance,” which examines depictions of body size in early modern England and their relationship to what the course description calls the modern-day “obsession with bodily regulation and control of body size.” The class is taught from the perspective of “conscious respect for bodily diversity.”
For YAF, the unusual subjects are no laughing matter.
“Higher education has been hijacked by progressive ideology, transforming too many of our colleges and universities from places of learning into institutions of indoctrination,” YAF President Gov. Scott Walker said. “This report pulls back the curtain on what students are being taught and exposes just how deeply ideological agendas have taken root on campus.
“That is why YAF is fighting back, to ensure students receive an education, not an indoctrination, and to restore intellectual freedom and academic excellence to America’s campuses.”
The courses reported also come with elite-school price tags. YAF estimates a three-credit course at Princeton costs $5,778, while its report puts the equivalent at $5,613 at Penn. The organization says its estimates are based on U.S. Department of Education tuition data, with annual tuition at flat-rate institutions divided by a standard 30-credit academic year.
YAF told Fox News Digital it surveyed available course catalogs covering the 2026-27 academic year from schools in the Ivy League, Big Ten, SEC and PAC-12, along with U.S. News & World Report’s top 10 liberal arts colleges.
The organization said course titles and descriptions were reproduced unedited from university websites and course catalogs, and said its selections represent a sample rather than an exhaustive list.
YAF has published its “Comedy & Tragedy Report” since 1995, arguing that the courses it documents demonstrate a lack of ideological diversity in higher education.
Columbia, Princeton, Penn, Stanford and Yale did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.
