INTRO: With four days to go until polls close this midterm cycle, President Trump returns to his home turf – rallying a crowd in Daytona Beach, Florida in support of Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R) and incumbent Senator Ashley Moody (R). The president makes his case against voting for Democrats.
ACK: President Trump
TAG: In Florida – a state the president won three times – Republican candidates enjoy a strong lead against their Democrat opponents. But historically the party in power has a hard time maintaining the majority in Washington in the midterms. In this case the president’s approval rating is at 36-percent, with much of the backlash being against his handling of the economy, the war in Iran, and A-I data centers.
