INTRO: President Trump welcoming to the White House Stephen Hubbard, who was recently freed from a Russian prison after four years.
ACK: President Trump
TAG: The 74-year-old retired Michigan school teacher, who also served in the U-S Air Force and National Guard, was detained by Russia just two months after it launched its invasion of Ukraine. In October 20-24 he was convicted of being a mercenary for the Ukrainian military and sentenced to more than 6 years in prison. In 20-25 the United States designated Hubbard as wrongfully detained.
