A Germantown man is being held without bond after being arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Montgomery County 7-Eleven.
Police say 26-year-old Malcolm Anderson arranged to meet a man in the parking lot of the store in the 19700 block of Frederick Road on October 17th to buy a cellphone. Investigators say Anderson got inside the victim’s car, then struck him in the head with a handgun and stole both the phone being sold and the victim’s personal phone.
Detectives identified Anderson as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. On October 30th, officers searched his Germantown home and took him into custody. They also recovered a stolen handgun from Georgia that had been modified to fire fully automatically.
Anderson faces multiple charges, including armed robbery and several firearm offenses. He remains held without bond.
