A 48-year-old man is facing a first-degree arson charge following a residential fire in Woodsboro.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded around 5:20 PM, Tuesday evening, November 3rd, to a home in the 10-thousand-700 block of Etzler Mill Road to assist firefighters.
Deputies located and detained Michael East at the scene. Investigators believe the incident was domestic-related. Deputies and fire marshals remained at the property for several hours conducting an investigation.
East was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
