Garage Destroyed By Fire In Green Valley

One person taken to the hospital for minor burns.    (Photos from Frederick County Fire & Rescue Services Division)Green Valley, Md (KM) Fire destroyed a garage in Green Valley on Monday afternoon.The Frederick Scanner Facebook page says units were called out at around 3:38 PM to the 3600 block of Green Valley Road, and found a one-story, 100-foot by 50-foot detached garage with heavy fire showing through the roof. There were vehicles inside.A rapid intervention dispatch was called to the scene to bring in additional personnel; and a tanker task force was organized to ferry in water.One person suffered minor burns and was evaluated by emergency medical technicians. That patient was transported to the hospital   No other injuries were reported.Fire officials say the bulk of the fire was brought under control at around 4:15 PM   Fire fighters continued to douse hot spots.By Kevin McManus
