Series Of Vehicle Thefts, Tampering, Under Investigation By Frederick County Sheriff’s Office

One juvenile suspect was apprehended.Frederick, Md (KM) The investigation continues into the thefts and tampering of several vehicles in the Mount Airy, Green Valley and Monrovia areas.On Sunday, March 23rd, at around 6:17 AM, deputies responded to the 12000 block of Quiet Stream Court for a stolen Nissan Altima. Other vehicles located along Sandra Lee Court, Walnutwood Court and Haven Park Circle were also tampered with.The Nissan was located in Anne Arundel County. Police there say a juvenile suspect had crashed the vehicle in Linthicum Heights. The youth was taken into custody. The juvenile will be facing charges through the Department of Juvenile Services.Authorities learned of two other vehicles in that area had been stolen. A vehicle taken from Dunkirk was located. A suspect who had taken a BMW from Monrovia fled the scene.These incidents are still under investigation, and anyone who has information which could help is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 301-600-1046.The Sheriff’s Office urges residents to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables; and don’t leave their keys in the ignition.
