Maryland State Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Frederick County

The victim was an 18 year old from WalkersvilleFrederick County, MD – Maryland State Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into a fatal crash that claimed the life of an 18-year-old Walkersville resident on Saturday night.The victim, identified as Ryan Baldwin, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel. The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. in the 11,000 block of Woodsboro Creagerstown Road.According to the initial investigation, Baldwin was traveling eastbound on a motorcycle when he lost control for reasons yet to be determined. His motorcycle struck a guardrail, causing him to fall into the roadway, where he was subsequently struck by a Mitsubishi. The driver of the Mitsubishi was unharmed and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.Investigators are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact Maryland State Police.
