Three Arrested Last Thursday In Taneytown Following A Search & Seizure Operation

All three  are suspected of distributing illegal drugs in the Carroll County area.Taneytown, Md (KM) Three people were arrested last Thursday, December 12th,  during a search and seizure operation at a Taneytown apartment.The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says a search and seizure warrant was served at the unit at 22 Roberts Mill Road where Samar Lorenzo Williams, 45, who resides there,  was arrested. Authorities say Williams was distributing illegal drugs in the Carroll County area, and was being assisted by Eric Michael Carter, 41, and Betty Jean Montgomery, 38 . All three were taken into custody without incident.The Sheriff’s Office says  detectives searched the apartment, and found cocaine scales, packing materials, and paraphernalia which indicated the illegal sales of narcotics.Williams is charged with possession of illicit controlled dangerous substances, possession with intent to distribute and possession of paraphernalia. He’s currently being held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center. Authorities say additional charges are anticipated.This investigation was collaboration between the Sheriff’s; Office Drug and Firearms Trafficking Task Force, the Pro-Active Community Enforcement which is composed of the personnel and the Sheriff’s Office and the Westminster Police, along  the Carroll County State’s Attorney’s Office. They were all working under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network.   The operation was funded  by the Governor’s Office on Crime Prevention and Policy.By Kevin McManus
