Montgomery County Police Investigating A Homicide

A man was found deceased in a playground area on Tuesday, Oct. 1st, 2024.Silver Spring, Md (KM) A homicide is under investigation in Montgomery County.Police say on Tuesday, October 1st at around 9:46 AM, officers responded to the area of Barron Street and Domer Avenue for a shooting.  They found Christian Ortiz, 18, of Silver Spring in the nearby playground area of Seek Lane Park with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene in spite of life saving efforts by police officers and fire and rescue personnel.Anyone who has information on this homicide is asked to contact Crimesolvers of Montgomery County.
