One allegedly brandished a knife at another person.
Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have charged two men following a hit and run last weekend. Chung Thang, 25, of Frederick, and Antony Chin, 27, of Elkridge, were taken into custody early Sunday morning.At around 12:15 AM, police were dispatched to the 5700 block of Butterfly Lane to investigate reports of one vehicle striking two parked cars. The occupants of the striking vehicle fled on foot.A witness told officers he ran after Thang, but an altercation occurred with Thang allegedly brandishing a knife. He was apprehended Police say Thang had on his person an undisclosed amount of cash, suspected marijuana and a knife. He’s charged with 1st-degree assault (with a knife), possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, wearing, carrying and transporting a weapon, and failing to stop a vehicle at the scene of an accident..Officers also apprehended Chin. They say Chin was in possession of a loaded handgun. He is charged with having a loaded handgun on his person, and reckless endangerment.Frederick Police ask anyone who has information on this incident to give them a call at 301-600-2102.
