House Catches Fire After Being Struck By Lightning

State Fire Marshal’s Office)Mount Airy, Md (KM) A lightning strike in Mount Airy Tuesday morning caused a house fire.Shortly after 8:00 AM, fire fighters were dispatched to  8202 Roop Road for a two-story, single  family home on fire. They spent 15-minutes bringing the flames under control. There were no injuries.The State Fire Marshal’s Office says damage is estimated at $20,000. .Investigators say the fire originated in the basement, and is being labeled accidental.By Kevin McManus
