More than 55 groups receive funding to support local programs and services.
FREDERICK, MD (JK) — The Community Foundation of Frederick County has awarded more than $758,000 in Impact Grants to support projects that improve life across the county.
This year’s funding supports more than 55 organizations working in areas such as the arts, education, health and human services, historic preservation, youth programs, elder care, veterans services, and animal welfare. In total, more than 130 grants were awarded.
Among the funded initiatives, the Dan Crozier Music Trust Fund provided $6,650 for youth music programs, while the Alvin F. Tesmer and John J. Hayes Veterans Memorial Fund awarded $3,069 to support veteran-focused efforts. The Health Fund for Frederick County Youth distributed $72,450 to assist children with medical needs, and the Roger Brooke Taney House Endowment Fund contributed $7,072 for a new artifact preservation facility.
The grants are made possible through charitable funds established by local donors. A full list of fiscal year 2026 grant recipients is available at FrederickCountyGives.org/Awarded-Grants.
Since 1986, the Community Foundation of Frederick County has invested more than $111 million into local programs and services.
