Columbia, Md. (DG) – A dispute between roommates has turned deadly in Columbia.
Howard County police say officers were dispatched around 1:40 a.m. Sunday to an apartment in the 7600 block of Woodpark Lane for a reported stabbing. Inside, they found 25-year-old Jaelon Minor suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Minor had been involved in an altercation with his roommate, 23-year-old Donavan Townsend. Police allege Townsend stabbed Minor and then fled the area. He was quickly located and taken into custody.
The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information is urged to contact police at 410-313-STOP.
