Frederick, MD (JK) – A 24-year-old New Market man has been arrested following a reported burglary at a construction site on West Patrick Street in Frederick.
According to police, officers responded Saturday evening to reports of suspicious activity and a possible burglary in progress. Multiple patrol units, along with a K9 team, searched the area. During the response, the suspect attempted to flee but was quickly taken into custody.
Investigators located a vehicle connected to the suspect nearby. A search of the vehicle uncovered numerous construction and electrician tools. Detectives also linked the suspect to several recent copper wire thefts at the same construction site, resulting in thousands of dollars in losses.
Jaylan St. Charles Turner was arrested in connection with the incidents. The investigation remains ongoing.
