Westminster, Md. (DG) – A traffic stop in Carroll County has led to drug and firearm charges against a Baltimore County woman.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were conducting traffic enforcement around 2 p.m. on January 26th along Baltimore Boulevard when they spotted a Lincoln committing a traffic violation. The vehicle was pulled over in the 1800 block of Baltimore Boulevard in Finksburg.
Deputies identified the driver as Billie Jo Ashe of Baltimore County. During the stop, drugs were reportedly seen in plain view, prompting a search of the vehicle. Authorities say more than 32 grams of suspected cocaine and a .22 caliber pistol were found near the driver.
Ashe was taken to the Carroll County Central Booking and charged with multiple drug and weapons offenses.
