Gaithersburg, MD (JK) – Montgomery County Police are investigating the death of a 15-year-old Rockville boy and asking for the public’s help in identifying who supplied the fentanyl involved.
Just after midnight on Friday, February 28, officers responded to the 2510 block of Baltimore Road in Rockville for a reported drowning. When they arrived, they found Gabriel Ronald Mehta unconscious in a bathtub and immediately began life-saving efforts. Personnel from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service took over care and transported him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Detectives are working to determine who provided the fentanyl and who may have been in contact with Mehta on February 27.
