
Frederick, Md. (DG) – A teenager in Frederick is facing multiple charges after a major firearms investigation. On Thursday, March 5th, deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 100 block of W. South Street. During the search, officers recovered a stolen handgun modified with a fully automatic conversion device, along with another handgun, ammunition, and cannabis.
Authorities arrested 18-year-old Josiah Dante James-Moore, who is prohibited from possessing firearms. He was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a machine gun with intent, firearm possession as a minor, illegal ammunition possession, and possession with intent to distribute cannabis, among other offenses.
