Frederick, Md. (DG) – A new resource is now available for veterans in Frederick County.
On Wednesday, the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration, partnering with the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families, officially opened a new Veterans Services Office at the Frederick MVA branch.
The office is designed to help veterans, active-duty service members, and their families connect with federal, state, and local benefits. Services include benefits counseling, claims assistance, transition support, and help navigating available programs.
Officials say the Frederick location is the tenth MVA branch in Maryland to offer a Veterans Services Office. The new site is expected to serve more than 16-thousand veterans and their families in Frederick County, with trained specialists on hand to guide them through the resources available.
