Middletown, Md. (DG) – Middletown is getting a brand-new home for its students.
Frederick County Public Schools held a groundbreaking Tuesday for a combined building that will replace the existing Middletown Elementary and Middle schools. The new campus will serve students in grades 3 through 8, with the elementary school for grades 3 to 5 and the middle school for grades 6 to 8.
While both schools will share the same building, they will operate as separate schools, each with its own classrooms, programs, and activities designed to meet the needs of their students. Officials say the project reflects the district’s commitment to modern, safe, and flexible learning spaces for the community.
