Rockville, Md. (DG) – Montgomery County Police are searching for nine teenagers accused of carrying out a violent robbery inside Wheaton Mall.
Investigators say the group, made up of six boys and three girls, followed a victim into the mall in the late morning on March 16. One suspect reportedly struck the victim in the head, knocking them to the ground, before the rest of the group joined in the assault.
Police say the teens stole the victim’s shoes and then fled the scene. Authorities are now offering a reward of up to ten thousand dollars for information that leads to arrests as the investigation continues.
