Frederick, MD (JK) – Frederick County Public Schools is inviting the community to celebrate the musical talents of local students at the 39th Annual All-County Fifth Grade Honors Chorus Concert.
This year’s performance will feature 130 fifth-grade students from elementary schools across the county. Each student earned their place through a competitive audition process and has spent months preparing alongside their school music teachers.
The concert will be held at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in downtown Frederick and will showcase a vibrant and diverse repertoire, highlighting not only the students’ vocal abilities but also their teamwork and dedication as part of a large ensemble.
In preparation for the performance, participants will gather for a full rehearsal the day before the concert with guest conductor Dr. Kyle Zeuch, Co-Chair and Associate Professor of Music at Lebanon Valley College and President of the American Choral Directors Association of Pennsylvania. A final rehearsal on the day of the concert will help ensure a polished and memorable show.
Tickets are available in advance through the Weinberg Center Box Office online or can be purchased at the door on the day of the event. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for students, while Frederick County Public Schools staff with ID, senior citizens, and children under school age can attend for free.
For additional details, the public is encouraged to contact the Frederick County Public Schools Visual & Performing Arts Department.
