Taneytown, Md. (DG) – A search is underway in Taneytown after a driver fled the scene of a crash Thursday afternoon.
Police say the hit-and-run occurred around 4 p.m. at East Baltimore Street and Baumgardner Avenue. Investigators believe a Jeep Cherokee was involved and are working to track down the vehicle and its driver.
Officials say the suspect left the area before officers could respond, and they are now relying on the public for help in identifying those responsible. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Taneytown Police Department as the case remains under investigation.
