Columbia, Md. (DG) – Howard County police are investigating a deadly shooting connected to an illegal car rally in Columbia.
Officers were called to a parking garage on Alexander Bell Drive just before 5:30 Monday morning, where they found one adult man dead from a gunshot wound. Another man at the scene was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. In the hours that followed, four more individuals showed up at nearby hospitals with gunshot wounds believed to be related to the same incident.
Investigators say many of those involved knew each other and were not from Howard County. The investigation remains in its early stages, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
