It’s Election Day across West Virginia Tuesday as voters head to the polls for the state’s 2026 primary election.
West Virginians will decide party nominees for races including U.S. Senate, U.S. House, state legislative seats, county commissions, and several local offices. Nonpartisan races for school boards and judicial positions are also on the ballot statewide.
Polls will be open until 7:30 p.m., and anyone in line by closing time will still be allowed to vote. State officials are reminding voters to bring a valid photo ID before heading to their polling location.
