


Boonsboro, MD (JK) – A massive early morning fire in Boonsboro displaced eight people and four pets after flames spread from a garage to neighboring homes Tuesday morning.
According to Washington County fire officials, crews were called to Tiger Lane just before 4:30 a.m. for a reported house fire. Investigators say the blaze began in the garage of one home, ignited a gas supply line, and quickly escalated to a two-alarm fire that spread to nearby residences.
Nearly 70 firefighters responded to the scene and brought the fire under control in about an hour. Officials said no injuries were reported, and smoke alarms were present in the original home.
Damage from the fire is estimated at approximately $1.3 million. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced families.
The investigation remains ongoing.
