Officials say a new road alignment will be constructed.
Frederick, Md. (KM) – Rocky Springs Road between Fountain Drive and Bluegrass Way will be closed starting on April 25th. The Division of Public Works’ Traffic and Permit Section says the closure allows for the construction of a new road alignment.
Motorists will be detoured along Rocky Springs Road, Christophers Crossing and Yellow Spring Road. But officials say access to private property will be maintained.
That stretch of Rocky Spring Road is expected to reopen on June 3rd.
