A Loudoun County man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison following convictions for sexual assault involving a minor.
Forty-nine-year-old Aroldo Santos-Velasquez was sentenced last month in Loudoun County Circuit Court. The case began in May 2024 when the victim’s mother reported the sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl while another child was present.
During the investigation, detectives determined that Santos-Velasquez had sexually molested the victim. Authorities say Santos-Velasquez and the victim were known to each other.
In addition to receiving the maximum prison sentence, Santos-Velasquez will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
