LEESBURG, Va. (JK) — A Leesburg man has been arrested following an investigation into the reported assault of a child under the age of 13.
The Leesburg Police Department received the report on June 8, 2026, and detectives immediately launched an investigation into the allegations.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested 32-year-old Jose Edwin Ruano Navas on June 10. He has been charged with aggravated sexual battery of a minor under the age of 13.
Following his arrest, Navas was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing. Additional details are not being released to protect the identity and privacy of the victim.
