Frederick Woman Charged With Child Abuse, Pornography Offenses

She was arrested as part of an investigation into the  sexual abuse of a minor.Rebecca Wightman  (Photo from Frederick County Sheriff’s Office)Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick woman has been charged with sex abuse of a minor, 3rd-degree sex offense, possession of child pornography, child pornography–filming  a sex act, and child pornography–permitted sex subject. . Rebecca Wightman, 52, was arrested on Thursday.The Sheriff’s Office says detectives served a search warrant at her home in the 6900 block of Trout Lane as part of an ongoing investigation into the sexual abuse of a minor.   Wightman was taken into custody as part of the investigation.  The warrant listing charges against her was served at the Detention Center where she is being held without bond..Authorities say numerous electronic devices were confiscated from the home as evidence.Anyone with additional information on this case is asked to contact Detective Patterson with the Sheriff’s Office  at 301-600-1046.By Kevin McManus
