A joint investigation by several law enforcement agencies has led to charges against two men following a theft at the Westminster Lowe’s and a police chase on Route 140.
Police say the incident began around 3:40 p.m. on June 23 after a theft in progress was reported at the Lowe’s on Market Street. A Carroll County Sheriff’s deputy spotted the suspect vehicle on Route 140, but the driver fled into Baltimore County before the pursuit was called off.
Investigators later identified the suspects as 50-year-old Kevin Green and 42-year-old David Hayes, who was wanted by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. Hayes was arrested June 24 and faces theft-related charges. Green was taken into custody June 25 and is charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, drug possession, and other offenses.
Authorities believe both men may be connected to several similar thefts across the Baltimore region.
