Two unrelated child exploitation investigations have resulted in significant prison sentences in Frederick County.
The State’s Attorney’s Office says the cases were handled by the INTERCEPT Task Force and involved online crimes against children. Andrew Randolph Brock pleaded guilty to distributing child pornography after investigators found he was sharing child sexual abuse material and communicating with two 13-year-old children online.
He was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with 10 years to serve. In a separate investigation, Steven Victor Danko admitted to two counts of sexual solicitation of a minor after authorities found months of sexually explicit online messages with a child that began when she was 12 years old. Danko will serve seven years in prison. Following their release, both men will be required to register as Tier II sex offenders and remain under strict supervised probation.
