Hamiltonban Township, PA (JK) – A Chambersburg man has died after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in southern Adams County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, 56-year-old Marty Shultz was riding a 2006 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Cold Springs Road in Hamiltonban Township just before 6 PM on Friday, July 3, when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve.
Police say the motorcycle left the roadway and struck an embankment.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and Shultz was flown by medical helicopter to WellSpan York Hospital with serious injuries. He died at the hospital on Saturday, July 4.
State police said Shultz was wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash. Investigators also confirmed no other vehicles or occupants were involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
