Frederick Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened Monday afternoon at the Frederick Shopping Center.
Officers and Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue responded just after 3:30 to the shopping center on West 7th Street. Police say a Toyota Camry struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway near Staples.
The victim, 74-year-old Ann Andrex of Frederick, suffered serious injuries and was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where she died the following day. The driver of the Camry was not injured and stayed at the scene.
The department’s Crash Reconstruction Team continues to investigate, and anyone who witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact Frederick Police at (240)344-9731.
