Authorities in Loudoun County are searching for a suspect after an attempted abduction and assault on a walking trail Wednesday evening.
The incident happened around 8:30 near Algonkian Parkway and Lowes Island Boulevard when an adult woman was approached and grabbed by a man. Investigators say the victim fought back, broke free, and called 9-1-1.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with a wide build who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The Sheriff’s Office has increased deputy patrols in the area while detectives continue their investigation. Residents and businesses are being asked to check security camera footage recorded between 5 p.m. and midnight on July 15 for anything suspicious and to call the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-1021 with any information.
