An attempted armed robbery investigation in Frederick ended with a suspect behind bars just hours after the incident.
Police say officers responding to the 1000 block of Carlton Place on July 15 quickly located the suspect vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and arrested Kenwon Lontae Addison Jr. without incident. Investigators also recovered a handgun believed to have been used in the attempted robbery, along with additional evidence.
Addison faces charges including armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, carrying a loaded handgun on his person, and illegal possession of ammunition. He is being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
