A traffic stop in Frederick has led to the arrest of a 16-year-old who is being charged as an adult on several firearm offenses.
Deputies conducted the stop around 3:30 Thursday morning near New Design Road and Corporate Drive. According to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, deputies recovered a loaded handgun from Daylen Barnes of Frederick. The firearm had an obliterated serial number and was loaded with live ammunition, including one round in the chamber. Barnes is being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
