
A Washington County man was arrested for allegedly trafficking a girl and raping her in a Pennsylvania hotel.
Pennsylvania State Police report they received a call on August 3rd from Hagerstown Police Department saying they located a missing 14 year-old girl. Authorities say the girl was taken from her home in Maryland by 27-year-old Jeremy Spikes Junior from Hagerstown. Spikes took the girl into Franklin County where he is accused of raping her at a hotel.
Troopers say an arrest warrant was issued for Spikes after interviews and neighborhood searches. They also used automated license plate readers as part of their investigation. Spikes is facing several felony charges including trafficking, rape, and aggravated indecent assault.
He was taken into custody on August 5th pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
