Frederick Police are investigating a reported gunfire incident Tuesday morning near West 6th and North Bentz Streets.
Officers responded around 11:50 a.m. and found evidence that a firearm had been discharged. No one was struck or injured. Detectives believe two suspects fled on foot, westbound on West 7th Street, toward Montclaire Avenue, Toll House Avenue and the College Park Plaza shopping center.
Residents and businesses in those areas are being asked to check surveillance video from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for anything that could help identify the suspects.
The investigation comes just days after a woman and a juvenile boy were shot in Frederick Sunday. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and that shooting also remains under investigation.
