The victim in a fatal two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Montgomery County has been identified as a Frederick resident. Police say 67-year-old Harold Christner was a passenger in a Chrysler Pacifica that collided with a Ford Transit on Ridge Road, about 440 feet north of Hawkes Road. The crash happened just before 7:30 Saturday morning in the 24000 block of Ridge Road, outside Damascus. Christner was pronounced dead at the scene.
The van driver and four other people in the Pacifica, including a child, were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say impairment is not suspected. The crash remains under investigation.
