Frederick County has received national recognition for excellence in financial reporting.
The county’s Division of Finance was awarded the Government Finance Officers Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
The prestigious award recognizes governments that meet the highest standards for financial reporting, including clear organization, transparency, full disclosure, and compliance with accounting and legal requirements.
An impartial panel reviewed Frederick County’s report and determined it met the program’s rigorous standards. County officials say the recognition reflects the Finance Division’s commitment to transparency and accountability in managing public funds.
