The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will conduct overnight pipe inspections on northbound U.S. 15 in Frederick as design work continues on the highway’s capacity improvement project.
The ramp to Rosemont Avenue at Exit 14 will close Monday, September 14, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday. Motorists will be detoured to Seventh Street at Exit 15 and then use southbound U.S. 15 to reach Rosemont Avenue.
The northbound U.S. 15 ramp to Seventh Street at Exit 15 will close Tuesday, September 22, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday. Drivers will be detoured to Motter Avenue at Exit 16 and then use southbound U.S. 15 to access Seventh Street.
Additional pipe inspections will require overnight single-lane and shoulder closures. The work is expected to continue through October, weather permitting.
Motorists are urged to slow down, remain alert and move over when traveling through the work zone.
