A 60-year-old Aldie man is accused of killing his wife in a shooting at their home Tuesday afternoon.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called around 12:10 p.m. to the 24-thousand block of Quimby Oaks Place after receiving a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found 54-year-old Lisa Bradford dead at the scene.
Investigators say her husband, Roger Bradford, fled before deputies arrived. A multi-state search followed, involving law enforcement agencies in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania State Police eventually located and arrested Bradford around 3:15 p.m. in Bedford, Pennsylvania.
Bradford is charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He remains in Pennsylvania pending extradition to Virginia.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says investigators believe the shooting was domestic in nature, and there is no threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing.
