Police in Leesburg have arrested a 60-year-old man after an investigation into suspected possession of child sexual abuse material.
Investigators say the case began in February, when police received a Cyber Tipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding suspected online activity tied to a Leesburg resident.
Police later received information indicating additional incidents involving the same suspect. On September 24th, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Marlow Street Southwest, seizing items for further analysis. Mark Leonard was charged with possession of child pornography and is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing.
