The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland says a federal grand jury has indicted a Martinsburg man in connection with a series of alleged bank robberies and a carjacking in Maryland earlier this year.
Thirty-year-old Jordon Redfern faces charges including bank robbery, carjacking, attempted armed bank robbery and armed bank robbery. Prosecutors allege Redfern robbed a bank in Windsor Mill May 29, taking about 63-hundred dollars.
Two days later, he allegedly carjacked a luxury vehicle in Washington County. Then, on June first, Redfern allegedly attempted an armed robbery at a Baltimore bank before later robbing another Baltimore bank at gunpoint and taking about 41-thousand-590 dollars in cash.
If convicted, Redfern could face up to 25 years in prison for armed bank robbery and up to 15 years for carjacking.
