Frederick County agricultural businesses will soon have another opportunity to apply for grant funding to expand and strengthen their operations.
The Frederick County Office of Agriculture will accept applications for the Fall 2026 Agriculture Innovation Grant Program beginning October first. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. October 30th.
Grants of five thousand dollars or more are available to a wide range of agricultural businesses, including crop and livestock producers, value-added producers, seafood processors, timber product processors and agricultural cooperatives.
The money can be used for projects involving infrastructure, equipment, research and development, and processing facilities.
Since the program began in 2021, it has awarded more than two million dollars for 88 agricultural projects across Frederick County, helping create more than 300 jobs.
