Welcome to the final Wednesday Screencaps of September and sorta my final Screencaps of the week as I prepare to head out of here for a couple of days to get in one last mini golf trip with friends before winter sets in.
It’s a bittersweet moment this time of the year. On one hand, it’s nice to get out on the open road to see what the golf gods have in store for us. On the other hand, I know that once this 48-hour rendezvous is over, it’s time to prepare for hunkering down. Sure, there will be random Sundays where it’s 74 in November and I get out, but there’s something about that energy that runs through the body over a golf trip.
This one will be interesting. It was supposed to be back in northern Michigan, but the weather is going to be tricky up there. With rain in the forecast, my buddy Diesel says we have to go south or east. I’m leaving this up to him.
JENA SIMS KEEPS THE WHOLESOME GOLF CONTENT COMING AS SHE LEAVES IT ALL ON THE COURSE DOING THE WORM
(For the guys who keep emailing me screaming that they can’t see what I’m writing about, there’s an Instagram embed right here that shows Danica and her hot girlfriends on a golf trip.)
My biggest takeaway from Danica’s trip content is that it must be nice to have New Zealand golf trip money. According to Gemini, a mid-range golf trip half-way around the world to New Zealand would cost somewhere around $4,000-$5,500. That would include 5-6 rounds and an Airbnb.
Wait, that’s it? Gemini says rounds at “regional elite” courses run between $150 and $250, which isn’t exactly outlandish these days. As for Te Arai Links where Danica’s group played, that will cost you around $600 a round, but this time of year, Gemini reports greens fees are around $430 BEFORE you pay for the caddie, which will cost you $140, plus a tip and if you’re using a forecaddie, that’s another $140 for the group, PLUS a tip.
Let’s face it, guys, we’d have to budget $10k for a trip like this. I’m not buying Gemini’s estimations. After figuring in golf bets, booze, Ubers closer to the entertainment districts, the AI bot is now up to $7k-$10k just like I thought.

Mike N. randomly turns up this week off the coast of Bermuda while Mike T. in Idaho is living the patio life in the PnW:
– Brad S. shares his strategy: You had a graph yesterday that showed the cheapest NFL ticket prices. I had to share this: My son asked for Browns – Steelers ticket for his birthday in August. I knew not to buy in the pre-season.
I waited until after the head coach’s press conference after the first loss. When the coach said what’s-his-name would remain the starter. I jumped online and grabbed three seats in the third row of the upper level at the 10 yard-line. $96 per ticket, on the aisle!

Today, that same ticket is $175. I told my son I’d give him the proceeds if he wanted to sell. He said he wanted to go to the game. A proud dad moment! As they say, even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then. I’m proud to be that blind pig!
Kinsey: I get that it’s a 2 p.m. first pitch, but you can go to today’s Braves game for $30 all-in on Tick Pick. Speaking of the MLB playoffs, did you know that the playoffs will appear on NINE different networks/streaming services? Games will be shown on NBC, Peacock, NBCSN, TNT, Fox, FS1, TBS, TruTV and Max.
NINE.

Hey kids, good luck figuring out where to see your favorite teams play.
– Tom B. in Alexandria, VA says: I would definitely vote for the Colt M1911. One of my favorites.
This should serve as a conversation starter.

In total, four kids were left home including a 2-month-old and a 2-year-old. The defense attorney, smartly, told the judge that these were only “allegations.” That’s right…INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY! We have to let this one play out in the courts.
Congrats to the lawyers who used AI to write all this.

And that is it. I will see all of you again on Saturday morning. Keep the emails rolling. Tell me which gun should be the official Idaho gun. Tell me if you’re finding cheap sporting event tickets.
But don’t plan on me responding until Saturday. I’ll see all of you then.
