
Two Hagerstown men are facing charges following a shooting investigation that ended with a police pursuit into West Virginia.
Hagerstown Police responded around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon to the 400 block of Sumans Avenue for a reported shooting. Officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred and identified a suspect vehicle.
The vehicle was later located on Maugansville Road with two people inside. Police attempted a traffic stop near Salem Avenue and Indiana Avenue, but the vehicle fled. The pursuit continued into West Virginia, where both suspects were taken into custody. They were identified as 26-year-old Jacob Arroyo and 21-year-old Leviticus Ricks. Both are from Hagerstown and face assault, reckless endangerment, traffic and firearm-related charges.
Police say the incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
